The utility man launched two home runs in the eighth inning alone, driving in all four runs in a stunning frame that turned a deficit into a 5-3, New York lead. Final score — Yankees 5, Athletics 3.
Starter Cam Schlittler went five innings and struck out seven, but it was the bullpen that slammed the door — Fernando Cruz earned the win, and David Bednar nailed down the save.
