A Port Allegany man is charged with assault after an incident involving two women and a 4-year-old girl.
Pennsylvania State Police charged 32-year-old Zachary Mead with felony strangulation, felony child endangerment, simple assault, criminal mischief, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of terroristic threats and three counts of harassment.
The charges stem from a domestic dispute at a North Brooklynside Road residence where Mead allegedly threatened to stab a woman with a knife he was holding.
Mead then allegedly lifted the woman into the air by her throat and beat her.
A 4-year-old girl was also a victim in the altercation.
The assault continued to a neighbor’s residence where Mead allegedly broke into the property breaking a sliding glass door handle and also became physical with the woman who owned the house.
He eventually fled the scene in a white Jeep Wrangler.
Mead was held at the McKean County Jail.
