Jury selection for the murder trial against Thomas McElhattan began this morning.
The 42-year-old Bradford man stands accused of shooting and killing pregnant 21-year-old Rebecca Haynes, who was the girlfriend of his stepson, after she allegedly threatened to tell his wife about their involvement, while her toddler was in the next room.
Opening arguments from the prosecution and defense are expected for this afternoon, however that is dependent on how quickly the jury selection process occurs.
