A Portville man was charged in connection to the report of a stolen vehicle Saturday morning.
Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 40-year-old Paul R. Smith with felony possession of a controlled substance, Criminal use of drug paraphernalia and felony Possession of Stolen Property.
The charges stem from deputies allegedly pulling Smith over on Portville Ceres Road while driving a stolen vehicle.
Smith allegedly had methamphetamine and an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Smith was then turned over to Allegany County Sheriffs Office whom he had a warrant through.
