The Steelers couldn’t hold on in Cleveland. Pittsburgh fell to the Browns 27-24 on Thursday Night Football after Andre Szymt hit a 56-yard field goal with just 10 seconds left, the winning drive set up when a desperation Aaron Rodgers pass was picked off by Grant Delpit.
Rodgers threw for 299 yards and 2 touchdowns but also 2 interceptions and was sacked 5 times. DK Metcalf led the way with 115 receiving yards on just 5 catches, and Jaylen Warren racked up 93 rushing yards and 33 more through the air.
T.J. Watt was all over the field defensively with a sack, a forced fumble and a recovery. For Cleveland, Jaleel McLaughlin had a 28-yard rushing touchdown, and Deshaun Watson led the game-winning drive down the stretch.
The Steelers will now regroup to face the Indianapolis Colts at Acrisure Stadium on October 11.
