A McKean County couple has been charged for having heroin and other drugs after their pickup truck crashed into a pole in the Ridgway Sheetz parking lot last month.
Court papers say 41-year-old Anderson Tolbert Jr. of Custer City told police he and his girlfriend fell asleep in the truck while it was still in “drive.” Police then asked if they could search the truck. That’s when they found eight bags of heroin and nearly $1,500 in cash.
Police say when his girlfriend, 46-year-old Melissa Merced of Bradford, came out of the store she had white powder in one of her nostrils and a cut piece of a straw coming out of her pants pocket. They say she told them she was snorting fentanyl and Percocet. They also found six Suboxone strips and nearly $2,000 in her purse.
