A Cattaraugus County man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection to an accident that killed a Salamanca man last May will spend the next 5 to 15 years in state prison.
20-year-old Cyrus Spruce was driving a minivan at 3 a.m. on May 22, 2016, on a decommissioned section of Old Route 17 in the Town of Red House, when he sideswiped two parked cars, and then hit 23-year-old Watson Cooper, and kept driving.
Cooper died later that day in ECMC in Buffalo.
