Pennsylvania First Lady Frances Wolf is not only an artist she is a promoter of the arts, and says they are an economic development instigator that some people take for granted.
She says when companies are recruiting new employees the arts an important selling point.
Wolf adds that the local community can benefit greatly from the Marilyn Horne Museum and BCPAC, and she is pleased that McKean County has a brand new arts council.
The governor noted that Pittsburgh’s new-found vitality is because of a concentration on the arts, and not manufacturing as it had been in the past.
