In calling for better protections for Pennsylvania workers, Governor Shapiro cited his enforcement efforts against a local business accused of wage theft.
“When a major employer stole over $20 million from Pennsylvanians doing backbreaking work on our roadways, we prosecuted the largest Davis-Bacon wage theft case in American history and returned every penny back to workers right before Christmas.”
Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. pled no contest in August of 2021 to four felony counts in the suit brought by then-Attorney-General Shapiro.
