The pool at Callahan Park will be closed today due to the poor air quality.
City Administrator Chris Lucco told WESB News that the decision was made out of concern for the public’s health.
After seeing the news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, City of Bradford made the determination, after conferring with the health officer, to not open the Callahan Park swimming pool today with the air quality alert and the advisement to avoid outdoor strenuous activities we felt it was in the best interest of the public not to encourage outside activities by opening.
