A Bradford Teen has been charged in the July 16th East Main St accident that resulted in the death of one person and injured one others.
19 year old Damian Ramdin was driving a 2004 Jeep Cherokee when he failed to dim his headlights at the intersection of Bolivar Dr and East Main and was stopped by PSP. Ramdin refused to submit his license and allegedly fled from troopers. After a brief high speed pursuit, Ramdin’s vehicle lost control and hit a tree and utility pole near the NAPA Auto on East Main. Troopers rendered aid to an unconscious Ramdin, an injured 17 year old girl in the front seat and 21 year old Wallace W. Easton who was unconscious in the backseat. Easton was flown from the scene to UPMC Hamot with serious injuries. Wallace “Wally” Easton succumbed to his injuries on July 24th.
The girl was also flown from the scene with serious injuries. She told police that they were heading for her house when they were pulled over, they were hanging out because they were celebrating Wally’s 21st birthday. Ramdin admits to having smoked marijuana and drinking “two or three Twisted Teas and a pounder of Mike’s Hard Lemonade.” He is being held in McKean County Jail on $350,000 bail and is facing charges of Homicide by Vehicle, Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Involuntary Manslaughter and several other charges. Ramdin is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 10th.
