Charges against the mother and son accused of conspiring to steal thousands of dollars from a Bradford man have been bound to McKean County Court.
Tuesday Hale and Tate Hallock are accused of telling the man Hale was working for as a house cleaner that her daughter was in a coma in an Erie hospital and they needed money for travel expenses. Later, they told him the daughter — which Hale never had — died and they needed money for funeral expenses.
They are also accused of using a stolen bank card to get money out of the man’s bank account without his permission. Court papers say Hallock also tried unsuccessfully several times to get money out of the bank.
Hale is free on unsecured bail. Hallock is in McKean County Jail.
