A Salamanca man was charged after an incident reported at an Erie Street home late Sunday night.
Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 26-year-old Derik N. Nelson with assault after he was found on East State Street after he allegedly fled on foot after committing the assault.
Nelson was apprehended by patrol with assistance from The Salamanca Police Department.
Nelson was released with an appearance ticket and is due back in Salamanca Town Court in April.
