The City of Olean has been awarded a $100,000 Wastewater Infrastructure Engineering Planning grant by New York State.
The funds will be used to evaluate the first phase of Olean’s pump station, infiltration and inflow improvements after consistent concerns of waste overflow into the Allegheny River.
Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the funding Wednesday, saying the grant is part of $20 million in awards for programs supporting clean water initiatives statewide.
