The body of a woman found a year ago near the Millcreek Mall by Erie, PA has been identified as belonging to 51-year-old Olean resident Rebecca Foley Hakes.
The Olean Police Department’s Facebook page reposted a report Friday from the Millcreek Township Police Department outlining the investigation after fisherman discovered the body in Walnut Creek October 24 of last year. Hakes had been reported missing by relatives in the “third quarter of 2024.”
Further investigation is pending.
