St. Bonaventure survived a second-half comeback by Bradley to win 69-63 in the second game of the Field of 68 Showcase.
The Bonnies jumped out to an early double-digit lead, but Bradley rallied late in the first half to close within six, making it 34-28 at the break. Bradley continued its momentum early in the second half, taking a six-point lead before St. Bonaventure fought back.
Buddy Simmons II’s hot shooting helped propel the Bonnies to a comeback win, finishing with a game-high 24 points. Cayden Charles and Frank Mitchell added 12 points each, while Joe Grahovac contributed 11. For Bradley, Alex Hubiregtse, Demarion Burch and Jaquan Johnson each scored 13, and Corey Thomas had 10.
Rebounding proved decisive. St. Bonaventure dominated the boards 41-22, including 14 offensive rebounds to Bradley’s two. The Bonnies also shot better from beyond the arc, hitting 8 of 22 3-pointers compared with Bradley’s 6 of 22.
