Do We Really Need Another Gremlins Movie? Because We’re Getting One…

It’s been thirty-seven years since the franchise got a sequel but that’s not stopping it from happening. Gremlin’s 3 is set to hit theaters in November of 2027. The good news? Steven Spielberg and Chris Columbus are reuniting to make it happen. The bad news? We’re going to have to rewatch Gremlins 2 beforehand. Probably.

I’ll be honest, I know I watched that movie once but could not tell you what the plot of it was at all. Don’t get me wrong, the original Gremlins is a cult classic and a must watch on our Christmas movie binge every year (although I’m still not sure why we endured that terrifying story about a dad in a chimney), I just don’t know that I’m game for all these sequels and remakes of movies “for a new generation”.

Then again, if Gizmo is back? Totally different story. Because, obviously, Gizmo rocks!
