The National Weather Service issued a lake-effect snow warning yesterday afternoon that includes Cattaraugus County. The warning will be in effect until Monday morning.
Heavy lake-effect snow is expected with accumulation of 6 to 12 inches possible and wind gusts as high as 25 mph.
According to the NWS, “travel will be very difficult at times with snow-covered roads and poor visibility.”
