In a back-and-forth game that saw 15 lead changes, the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team erased a 13-point deficit but ultimately fell at Dayton, 72-70, on Tuesday night (Feb. 3) at UD Arena.
Buddy Simmons II led the Bonnies (13-10, 2-8 A-10) with 17 points, 13 of which came in the second half comeback push. Frank Mitchell earned his 12th double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Dasonte Bowen (14 points), Cayden Charles (13) and Daniel Egbuniwe (10) rounded out the double-figure scorers for St. Bonaventure.
The Bonnies will face Fordham on Saturday (Feb. 7) at Rose Hill Gymnasium. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, with the radio pregame beginning at 1:30 p.m. on 100.1, The Hero.
