The Chestnut Feedery in Bradford is closing its doors after ten years in business. Owner Mel Stoltzfus announced the closure on Facebook Live, citing economic pressures and competition from online retailers.
The feedery will hold a storewide 30 percent off sale on equipment and bagged food beginning April 21st, with the final day of business set for April 30th.
Stoltzfus encouraged customers to support Devin Sweet at Sweet Saltwater, a nearby shop he says carries crickets, feeder animals, and fish.
The Chestnut Feedery is located at 115 Chestnut Street if Bradford.
