A black bear was observed running through yards in the area of Leonard Avenue in Foster Township early Friday morning.
Residents in the area are advised to remain alert and take precautions like securing all garbage, pet food & bird feeders; Keep doors, windows, and garage doors closed (especially overnight); and Lock vehicles and remove food or trash from inside.
If you encounter a bear, make loud noises and back away slowly and report the sighting to Dispatch at (814) 362-4521.
