it’s an AL East showdown in the Bronx this weekend as the New York Yankees host the Baltimore Orioles in a four-game series at Yankee Stadium, beginning tonight at seven-oh-five Eastern.
New York comes in hot at twenty and ten — among the best records in the American League. Baltimore arrives struggling, dropping to fifteen and sixteen after an ugly loss to Houston in a doubleheader Thursday.
On the mound tonight, the Yankees send out Will Warren — who’s been outstanding at three-and-oh with a two-fifty-nine ERA. Baltimore is expected to counter with Cade Povich. Saturday, it’s Max Fried for New York, with Shane Baz going Sunday for the O’s.
The Orioles are a team with talent but looking for answers. The Yankees, meanwhile, are rolling.
