What a way to stay alive.
The Buffalo Sabres went into Montreal Saturday night and absolutely dominated — rolling past the Canadiens 8-3 to force a winner-take-all Game Seven. The Sabres trailed 3-2 in the series heading in, and they answered with the most complete performance of their playoff run.
Rasmus Dahlin was sensational — a goal and four assists for five points on the night. Buffalo went to the power play six times and cashed in four times — a clinic on the man advantage when it mattered most. The Sabres outshot Montreal thirty-six to twenty-two and never let the Canadiens breathe after the first period.
It’s all on the line tonight (May 18) — Game Seven, KeyBank Center in Buffalo. Puck drops at 7:30pm EDT. The city is ready.
