The Former City of DuBois administrative secretary took a plea deal in a federal corruption case Wednesday.
Roberta “Bobbie” Shaffer pleaded guilty to two felony charges tied to theft and misuse of city funds in the extensive public corruption case involving former DuBois City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio.
With the plea, Shaffer admits she and Suplizio embezzled, stole and intentionally misapplied more than $5,000 in City of DuBois funds throughout 2021.
The plea agreement calls for the remaining charges against Shaffer to be dismissed at sentencing.
Suplizio previously pleaded not guilty and his federal trial will begin Oct. 5 in Johnstown.
