It is a blockbuster Monday in the N-F-L — two seismic trades dropping on the same day, and both involve household names.
First — A-J Brown is headed to New England. The Philadelphia Eagles have traded the star wide receiver to the New England Patriots in exchange for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. Brown reunites with head coach Mike Vrabel, who originally drafted him with the Titans back in 2019. The Eagles take on dead cap money but free themselves from a receiver whose frustrations with the offense had been well-documented.
Then — Myles Garrett is a Ram. The Cleveland Browns have traded the two-time Defensive Player of the Year to the Los Angeles Rams for pass rusher Jared Verse and three draft picks — a 2027 first-rounder, a 2028 second-rounder, and a 2029 third-rounder. Garrett set the NFL single-season sack record with 23 last year before Cleveland ultimately pulled the trigger. The Rams now become the first team in NFL history to pair the reigning N-F-L M-V-P and Defensive Player of the Year on the same roster.
