The Olean Police Department issued a statement on Facebook regarding an update to the e-Bike crash on Queen St. and Delaware Ave on June 20.
The victim was Nicholas Meyer, who has since passed away in the hospital.
Police previously believed Meyer to be the victim of a hit-and-run; however a recent investigation has seemingly determined that no vehicle had struck either Meyer nor the e-Bike and evidence suggests the bike had crashed.
