But Atlanta spoiled the sweep Sunday, edging New York 2-to-1 behind Cam Schlittler’s first career start against the Braves.
Manager Aaron Boone wasn’t fully satisfied, even with a series win, saying they still need to get their offense in gear.
The Yankees sit second in the AL East at 66 and 52, still holding the top American League Wild Card spot. They host the Seattle Mariners next, starting Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.
