A Bradford man was arrested on a theft warrant near the Elm Street bridge and the Route 219 North underpass in Bradford late Saturday night.
City of Bradford Police arrested 60-year-old Dennis Arthur Allen on bench warrants for felony theft and was also charged with possession of a controlled substance after allegedly being found with methamphetamine .
The original charges stem from an incident that happened early on Christmas Eve 2025, inside the Best Western Hotel at 100 Davis Street in Bradford where Allen and a female accomplice allegedly removed a coin mechanism belonging to Futures Rehabilitation from a vending machine valued at about $400, $94 in change and between $20 and $24 worth of candy.
Allen was officially issued charges on July 2 on a warrant for felony Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft and misdemeanor Conspiracy to Commit Theft by Unlawful Taking and Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief
Allen subsequently failed to appear in court, so a bench warrant was also issued.
Allen was remanded to the McKean County Jail on $500 bail and the outstanding bench warrant will also serve as a detainer while Allen awaits further court proceedings on the theft-related and drug charges.
Hearings have been scheduled in both matters.
