A rough one for the Black and Gold. The Steelers fell to the New England Patriots 20 to 3 in Week 2, and this one was ugly from the jump. Pittsburgh’s offense managed just 3 points and struggled to find any rhythm, while New England’s defense teed off on Aaron Rodgers all afternoon — four sacks, a strip-sack that turned into a Eli Ponder fumble-recovery touchdown off a hit from Christian Barmore, and a late interception by Gabe Jacas. Rodgers finished 23 of 39 for 187 yards, no touchdowns, and the pick.
On the other side, Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson broke off a 39-yard touchdown run in his season debut, and quarterback Drake Maye did just enough — 14 of 22 for 208 yards — including a 63-yard connection with Romeo Doubs. New England’s secondary also shut down DK Metcalf, holding him to just four catches for 27 yards.
