DA Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer is asking the state Superior Court to review whether the appointed judge in the Tyler Prescott case, Senior Judge Norman Krumenacker III from Cambria County, should be recused, citing sealed defense filings and ex parte hearings that prosecutors were excluded from.
Prescott is accused of raping and killing his 2-year-old son, Oakley Hedlund.
The commonwealth is pursuing the death penalty against Prescott.
