Sidney Crosby scored twice, but the Penguins let another one slip away, falling to the Blackhawks 5-3 Tuesday night in Chicago.
Teuvo Teravainen scored twice for the Blackhawks, including the game-winner with just over four minutes left in the third. Roman Kantserov also scored twice, and Tyler Bertuzzi added an empty-netter with ten seconds to play.
Crosby tied it at three early in the third, but Teravainen beat rookie goalie Sergei Murashov from a sharp angle to put Chicago back in front. Murashov stopped fifteen of nineteen shots.
Pittsburgh outshot Chicago twenty-seven to twenty and went zero for four on the power play, while Chicago cashed in on its first-period chance. The Penguins have won three of their first seven games.
Next up, Friday at Colorado.
