They beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 4-1, in Game Five Wednesday night in St. Petersburg, and won the series four games to one. It’s the first title in the franchise’s fifty-seven-year history.
Milwaukee led the majors with one-hundred-three wins and went eleven-and-two in the postseason.
Catcher William Contreras was named World Series MVP. He hit three-eighty-one for the series. Rookie Cooper Pratt had two hits and two RBIs in Game Five and set a World Series rookie record with six straight hits. Jackson Chourio set a five-game Series record with eleven hits.
