Allegany County, NY, schools will be closed effective Wednesday, March 18, and will remain shuttered through April 12th.
The decision came when a State of Emergency was issued for the County. Schools will use Monday and Tuesday to prepare students and staff for the extended closing.
The Emergency Declaration does not yet effect travel, and County government operations will continue unchanged unless otherwise advised.
