A boater was hurt early this afternoon when he accidentally sprayed himself with hot antifreeze from the boat’s radiator.
Sheriff’s deputies say the incident happened at about noon when the boat’s engine overheated. The man attempted to fix the problem and, when he removed the radiator cap, got sprayed with the hot liquid, which burned his back, arms and face.
Deputies helped him until Bemus Point rescue personnel were able to get him to WCA Hospital for treatment.
The man’s name and age were not released, and deputies did not say where he lives.
