The Annual Olean Out of the Darkness Walk to raise awareness about suicide prevention is Sunday at Good Times of Olean.
The fundraising goal is $40,000, which would go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The foundation funds educational, advocacy programs as well as support groups for people who have lost someone from suicide.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and is free and open to the public. The walk is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you can’t walk in the event but would like to donate, organizers are accepting money until December 31.
