Services to honor veterans, as well as free food and entertainment, are all in store on Veterans Day in McKean County.
From 9 a.m. to noon at Kinzua Bridge State Park veterans can enjoy coffee and doughnuts while sharing memories.
Veterans Day services will be held at 11 a.m. at Veterans Square in Bradford and at Wildcat Park in Ludlow.
The First Wesleyan Church of Bradford is offering a free dinner to veterans from noon to 5 p.m. at its downtown location at 16 Congress Street. The Y Bar & Grille in Duke Center will be offering free meals from noon to 10 p.m. There’s a Veterans Day Dinner at the American Legion in Bradford starting at 6 p.m. The Smethport American Legion will hold a dinner starting 5 p.m. State Rep. Marty Causer will be the guest speaker.
Entertainers Dan & Galla will be presenting a patriotic-themed musical show at the Bradford Ecumenical Home starting at 2 p.m.
The Bradford Area Public Library, in conjunction with Steve Appleby of the Eldred World War II Museum, will present a Veterans Day program from 3 to 4 p.m. at the library.
A program will be held at the museum starting at 6:30 p.m.
Veterans can also get a free lunch at Sheetz and an 11 percent discount off their order at Tops Market. They just have to show proof of their service.
