The NY Mets dumped the NY Yankees Monday night 8-5. Jacob DeGrom got the win for the Mets striking out 12. DeGrom left with a 7-3 lead. The Mets had five home runs in the victory with Amed Rosario, Jose Bautista, Tod Frazier, Brandon Nimmo and Michale Conforto all homering for the Mets. Luis Severino took the loss allowing four runs on seven hits in four innings of work. Miguel Anjuar hit a two-run homer in the eighth for the Pinstripes. The city rivals split their six games this year. This was a makeup from a rainout July 22.
