Bradford will celebrate “Old Fashioned Christmas” from 9am to 4pm on Saturday in the historic business district.
The day of events kicks off with Brunch With Santa at Beefeaters from 9am-11am. Families can enjoy a buffet style brunch while Santa visits each table. A free showing of The Polar Express movie at the Main Street Movie House will begin at 11:30am. The horse-drawn carriage rides are back by popular demand and will be boarding at The Main Street Mercantile from11am-3pm. The talented dancers of Studio B Dance Academy’s “Queen B” Dance Troup will have two performances at St. Bernard’s Gymnasium at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Additional events include face painting at Wright’s Music Shed from 10am-2pm, “Storyland” with Mrs. Claus at On The Side Books on Kennedy Street, caroling groups walking Main Street, and instrumental sidewalk performances throughout the day.
In addition to these special events, Downtown businesses will also be offering up specials and sales for the day.
“This year’s event is full of family fun and great shopping opportunities” said Main Street Manager Chelsea Schwab. “The whole Downtown is very excited about Old Fashioned Christmas. It is a wonderful community event that keeps growing each year. Old Fashioned Christmas is the perfect opportunity for the whole family to enjoy Downtown Bradford’s historic character and finish up some Christmas shopping” she added. “Get out and enjoy the most wonderful season of all; Main Street welcomes you.”
