No one was hurt when a tractor-trailer went out of control near Kane and hit a tree this morning.
Police say 61-year-old William Nolan of Dunkirk, NY, at the intersection of Route 321 and Flickerwood Road at 11:41 a.m. when the truck swerved across the icy road , went down an embankment and hit a tree. The trailer overturned in the crash.
Nolan was taken to UPMC Kane for treatment of minor injuries.
Several hours earlier a van slid off Route 46 just west of Vincent Hollow Road in Keating Township.
The driver , who police did not name, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. The person was not hurt.
