PennDOT announced the following schedule of maintenance activities in McKean County this coming week.

Bridge maintenance is scheduled for Route 66 at a bridge spanning West Run half a mile South of Kane Borough in Wetmore Township.

Pipe Replacement & Cleaning is scheduled for Route 46 between the Cameron-McKean County line in Norwich Township and Route 6 in Keating Township, Route 346 about 500 feet East of Hemlock Hill Road in Bradford Township & Route 346 about 500 feet West of Fleetwood Drive in Bradford Township.

Surface Treatment on McCrae Brook Road and on Barnum Road and Eldred Road between Route 346 and the Pennsylvania-New York state line in Eldred Township.

Vegetation Management is scheduled on all of Route 346 through McKean County.

 

NOON THURSDAY

An Olean man and two Olean women were arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Eldred early Saturday morning.

Pennsylvania State Police charged 28-year-old Shawn Shelley, 21-year-old Nadia Shreve and 23-year-old Anna Quick during a traffic stop on the 3400 block of Route 446.

The driver of the vehicle refused to identify themselves to officers and the two passengers were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

NOON THURSDAY

An Olean man and an Olean woman were arrested after allegedly driving under the influence on the 2100 block of Route 446 in Eldred.

Pennsylvania State Police charged 32-year-old Shyquane Pittman and 26-year-old Aleysha Bowser with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Pittman was additionally charged with DUI.

The Cattaraugus County-Olean Airport is set to receive $2.2 million in federal funds to upgrade airport facilities and equipment.

The funds include over $1.9 million for reconstruction of a runway path indicator system and over $255,000 to replace an airport rotating beacon.

The facility is one of multiple Western New York airports that will receive a total of $63,692,917 in federal funds.

Patients in the Bradford community can continue to access laboratory and blood draw services at the former Bradford Regional Medical Center facility, providing outpatient testing close to home as the campus transitioned to an outpatient services center in May.

Laboratory services remain available in Bradford, offering patients access to routine blood draws and specimen collection ordered by their healthcare providers.
