A judge has been selected in the Prescott murder case.
Senior Judge Norman Krumenacker III of Cambria County has been assigned to the death penalty case against Tyler Prescott, who is accused of raping and murdering his 2-year-old son last August.
This case has had multiple people withdraw, including both McKean County Judges and Prescott’s previous legal counsel.

An Olean man was arrested on a felony drug warrant on Friday.
Olean Police arrested 36-year-old Gary C. Coleman on an outstanding warrant for felony sale of a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance.
Coleman was arrested in the Village of Allegany by the Allegany Police Department and was transported to the Olean Police Department for processing.
5PM WEDNESDAY
An Olean man was arrested after a drug bust at a rear W Green St apartment last Thursday.
Olean Police charged 54-year-old George Martin with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance after police allegedly found fentanyl after the execution of a search warrant.
Martin was held for arraignment.

A Jamestown man is charged with the rape and robbery of two separate victims over the last week.
Jamestown Police charged 38-year-old Shaun P. Clutter with three felony counts of aggravated criminal contempt, two felony counts of strangulation, three counts of forcible touching, two felony counts of rape, felony robbery, felony criminal mischief, stalking, assault and two counts of unlawful imprisonment.
Clutter allegedly sexually assaulted the two victims, one of which has an active order of protection against Clutter.
He was remanded to the Chautauqua County jail without bail due to two previous felony convictions.

PennDOT announced that the number of people killed in traffic crashes reached a new low in 2025, dropping to 1,047, the lowest since record keeping began in 1928 and 80 less than 2024.
In 2025, there were 109,515 total reportable crashes, the second lowest on record only to 2020, when traffic volumes were down statewide due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Of the total traffic crashes, there were 979 fatal crashes, the lowest on record and down from 1,060 in 2024.

A Wellsville man was arrested early last Thursday morning in Olean on a gun felony.
New York State Police charged 41-year-old Kevin J. Michalski with felony weapons possession after an incident reported in Alma.
Michalski was held for central arraignment.

A Wellsville teen and a Friendship teen were charged with harassing each other on Tuesday.
New York State Police charged the 16-year-old from Wellsville and a 17-year-old Friendship teen with aggravated harassment over the phone.
The teens were each issued a family court appearance ticket.
