Governor Tom Wolf gave his second budget address this morning, but instead of outlining his plans for the next fiscal year he warned of a looming financial crisis in the Commonwealth.
Although he didn’t address his new tax plans in his speech, Wolf’s budget proposal does include a number of tax increases. Senate President Pro Tem Joe Scarnati says he’s disappointed by that.
To make the budget he proposed today balance, Wolf would have to persuade Republicans, who control the Legislature, to pass a $3 billion tax increase.
