The Arizona Diamondbacks won their fifth game in a row with a 13-8 dumping of the Pittsburgh Pirates on WESB. The Pirates fell behind 8-0, but rallied to trail 10-8, before losing to the Sankes who have scored 51 runs in their last five games. They’ve won 11 of 14 and lead the NL West by three games over the surging LA Dodgers. The Pirates fell to 1-4 on a six-game trip that ends this afternoon with the series finale in the desert. Arizona jumped on Pirate pitcher Trevor Williams, who allowed six run in the first inning, but five runs were unearned thanks to three Pirates errors, two on one play. Starling Marte had a three-run homer and doubled for the Bucs.
