Marching for Science

Bradford was one of the more than 600 cities around the world that took part in the March for Science on Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford associate professor of biology Lauren Yaich organized the event here because, she said, since it’s not possible for everyone to get to Washington, DC, or another large city, having a march in Bradford would give people in this area an opportunity to participate.

Correspondent Miguel Marquez was at the March in Washington, and explains why it was started.

Contributors to website technology now dot com say they were surprised by the creativity the scientists showed with their signs and slogans.

Their favorite is: At the start of every disaster movie, there’s a scientist being ignored. You can find a link to more signs here: https://www.technologynetworks.com/tn/lists/15-best-signs-from-the-march-for-science-287893
