Olean City School District taxpayers will face a slightly larger budget at the polls next month than the one the school board presented back in February. The board of education unanimously approved a $40.53 million dollar budget proposal for the 2018-19 school year. The budget proposal represents a 1.8 percent increase over this school budget. Olean City School Superintendent Rick Moore says the decision to increase the budget was influenced in part by school safety concerns.
