Textalyzer Under Consideration in NY State

0

New York State Senate bill S632 could soon allow police to use a device that reveals calls and text messages on your phone following an accident.  The device is called the “textalyzer” because of its similar nature to a breathalyzer.  If the proposed bill becomes state law, after an accident, police would have the power to ask you to hand over your cell phone, and connect it to a “textalyzer” and determine if you were using your cell phone while driving.
