Three people are facing felony theft and receiving stolen property charges after a traffic stop Wednesday night in Smethport. Police say that 22 year-old Caleb Crenshaw of Hagerstown, Maryland was speeding through a zone where police had setup to monitor traffic on Route 46. While an officer was trying to stop Crenshaw’s car he struck a guardrail. A registration check of the car showed it had been stolen and Crenshaw was charged with the theft, along with 22 year-old Joseph Frontera III of Bradford and 19 year-old Amber Harris of Port Allegany. All three are in the McKean County Jail on $45,000 bail, each.
