Bills Coach Sean McDermott says today that quarterbacks Tyrod Taylor and TJ Yates both remain in concussion protocol. He hasn’t officially ruled them out of Thursday night’s home game against the Detroit Lions on the 100.1 The Hero. McDermott is cautiously optimistic that wide receiver Jordan Matthews will be ready for week 1, but he has yet to be cleared for full contact. Mathews, who has a sternum injury, continues to practice on a limited basis.
The Bills got an early start on roster cuts by releasing six players. The biggest name on the list was safety Bacarri Rambo, who’s training camp was slowed by injury.
