The NFL gave Rob Gronkowski a one game suspension for his gratuitous hit to Tre’Davious White’s head on Sunday.
White was laying face down on the sidelines after intercepting a pass when Gronkowski body-slammed him, driving his forearm into White’s back and head. Gronkowski was called for unnecessary roughness but was not kicked out of the game.
The Patriots say that Gronkowski will appeal the suspension. Unless that appeal is successful, it means he will miss the Pats’ game against Miami on Monday night.
