The New York Assemblywoman behind the State’s ban on declawing cats has turned her attention to another target: rodeos.
Calling the events “blood sports masquerading as entertainment,” Manhattan Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal introduced the legislation after learning that Madison Square Garden would be hosting “Rodeo New York” in June.
Steve Ammerman, spokesman for the New York Farm Bureau, criticized the bill as “well-intentioned, but misguided and unwarranted,” saying the Rosenthal should attend a rodeo before filing such a bill.
