A Bradford man accused of assaulting a pregnant woman and another man during a fight last week has waived his preliminary hearing.
Court papers say 20-year-old Gage Foster was involved in a custody exchange with the mother of his child when he got into a fight with the other man, whose home the exchange was taking place in. The other man was bleeding and his nose was broken when police arrived.
Besides punching the man, Foster also allegedly choked the pregnant woman while her 5-year-old was about a foot away.
Foster facing a number of charges, including a felony count of endangering the welfare of a child. Foster is in McKean County Jail.
Also in district court, preliminary hearings for the two New York state men who were arrested last week after a traffic stop on Route 219 in the City of Bradford have been moved to next week.
Police say they smelled marijuana in the vehicle and then discovered that the driver, 45-year-old Anthony Paul of Niagara Falls, and a passenger, 49-year-old Christopher Freeney of Jamestown, had marijuana along with, 27 individual wax bags of suspected crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
A later search by a Warren County K-9 officer revealed more marijuana and pills. Paul and Freeney are both in McKean County Jail.
